Violence is not a new action. Genesis 6:11: “The earth was corrupt before God and the earth was filled with violence.” God soon took action. He said, “My Spirit shall not strive with man forever …” Soon after that proclamation, God sent a world-wide flood and humanity had a huge reset.

We were with a friend this last week who was watching the news. She commented, “The police are attending a funeral for a murdered policeman!” While she was commenting on that funeral, a news flash came on, announcing another New York City policeman was killed in the line of duty, while so many were attending the funeral of the previously murdered policeman!

I believe this violent chaos will continue. I also believe it heralds the last days before Jesus comes back.

In the midst of all that violence in Genesis 6, there is a bright and shining light. “But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord … Noah was a just man, perfect in his generations. Noah walked with God.” Genesis 6:8-9. I often wonder, “Lord, why do we righteous ones have to go through this stuff?” It just seems to never end!

God destined that the righteous are on earth for a reason. We are the LIGHT and the SALT for the world. If it wasn’t for those who love, serve, and know their God, the devil would completely destroy humanity. We must live in this crazy sin-filled world. Our babies, kids, teens, and adults of all ages will have no chance unless we continue to stand opposed in prayer for our world gone crazy.

Violence sickens me. I can’t escape it. We continue on serving our Jesus, pleading the Blood of Jesus over our families, our church, our beloved United States, and the world.

Keep Praying, Saints!
