“The Only Way to be An Overcomer”

“The Only Way to be An Overcomer”

A Christian preacher and writer, Jan Haman, wrote something I thought was quite profound, and at the same time, simplistic. “The only way to be an Overcomer, is to overcome!”

In these difficult, and unprecedented times (at least that this generation has experienced), we will have to focus deeply on what God has said. Your pastor takes time every day to read a select set of promises that God has made. Actually, I’m quite “religious” about doing that. I need to be reminded daily of what God has said to me. There is a real need for all of us to remain focused on what Jesus has spoken.

“Besides this, you know what a critical hour this is, how it is high time now for you to wake up out of your sleep (rouse to reality). For salvation (final deliverance) is nearer to us now than when we first believed on Christ the Messiah.” Romans 13:11 (Amplified Version)

The Christians of 2020 and beyond need to find their personalized promises, and then hang onto them as if their very lives depended on those promises of God. God’s promises are the hope of a great revival, a third wave of revival to come to the U.S., as well as the rest of the world. Enough troubles have occurred in the U.S. and world, that the Church must fall to their knees, even their faces, until they see what God has promised in the way of revival.

The destiny of our nation and the world is revival. Imagine backsliders coming to Christ, with the rebellious ripped out of the clutches of Satan, cleansed, set free, and being set aflame in a Pentecostal fashion.

God has the greatest desire to see the U.S. continue to be trailblazers in reaching the world for Christ. The Church has given money and sent missionaries to the lost of the world. We also need to focus on the lost of the USA.

I expect our churches to be full again. At this time as people return to church, on the average, only 39% of the Church family has returned. I expect God will replenish and fill the Church again with hungry souls weeping at our altars.

Contending for Revival,

Pastor Stan
