“Are You Ministering with Holy Spirit Anointing?”

“Are You Ministering with Holy Spirit Anointing?”

I would like to point out a few things that limit your anointing in the Holy Spirit:

  1. Lack of Praying in the Spirit While many believe in the infilling of the Holy Spirit with the initial evidence of speaking/praying in tongues, many do not practice this experience. John 6:37 speaks of “out of the belly flows rivers of living waters.” Yet, we are not experiencing the flow, because we are not praying in the Holy Spirit language.
  2. Too proud —In other countries where life is much simpler, they accept teaching and preaching from God’s Word as a little child. If God spoke, it I believe it. Yet, many today refuse to take God’s Word literally for what it says.
  3. Fear of the Supernatural — While many would not readily admit this, they consider tongues manifested in a local church service to be messy, therefore they don’t want that to happen, and thus they quench God’s Holy Spirit.
  4. Unconfessed Sin —We can easily quench, or offend, the Holy Spirit. Sin that you refuse to acknowledge as sin is an offense against the Holy Spirit. Remember, He is called Holy Spirit.  Lack of prayer and faith is sin. There are many “Christian sins” we refuse to acknowledge, nor  make changes in our lives.
  5. Emotional Wounds —A wounded spirit will keep you from a closeness with the Holy Spirit. People hurt you, perhaps even a pastor. You are grieved. While I’m the first to admit how difficult it is to come to terms with a wounded spirit, we must deal with it and receive healing from Jesus.
  6. An Unyielded Spirit —You cannot be filled with the Spirit, if you are filled with yourself, and have not surrendered plans, finances, relationships, or time to God. It’s time to start saying, “YES” to God, even if you think you don’t really mean it. Why? Because, the Holy Spirit will help you turn your difficult “YES” into a “Oh, thank you, Holy Spirit, you have helped me past rebellion!”

I Call for a Joyous Spirit-Filled Life!
