“Are You Intimidated or Scared of Witches?”

“Are You Intimidated or Scared of Witches?”

Should we fear dark powers? Is Christ stronger? We are spiritual beings by nature. There are two spiritual power sources — God or the devil.

Is there real power in witchcraft? Should we respect Satan’s power? Is it imagination, or deception? Are they playing magic tricks? Rest assured there is a very real, sinister, evil spirit, that we should respect, in the sense of be careful when and how you pick a fight.

Many people think they flirt with evil and it is no big deal. Examples:  Consulting tarot card, tea leaves, consulting a fortune teller, etc. Other actions: A Christian loses a loved one and wants to stay in touch with them, and ask their guidance … Allowing a small child to watch cartoons that have an evil, yet seemingly innocent story.

When King Saul consulted the witch at Endor, God severely punished Saul, and it ultimately led to a violent death for him and his sons. The Old Testament demanded the stoning of those who practiced witchcraft. The New Testament condemns witchcraft and speaks of being delivered from evil witchcraft.

It is not just deception. It is real, dark power, but very real. One of the examples we have is in Acts 16:16-17 — “As we were going to the place of payer, we were met by a slave girl who had a spirit of divination and brought her owners much gain by fortune-telling. She followed Paul and us, crying out, ‘These men are servants of the Most High God, who proclaim to you the way of salvation.’” In other words, she knew the truth. She knew who they were. “And this she kept doing for many days. Paul having become greatly annoyed, turned and said to the spirit, ‘I command you in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her.’ And it came out that very hour.” Note: It was a real spirit — It had to be cast out — This girl had evil and extraordinary power. It was more than just deception.

The Christian Response to evil witchcraft and halloween:

  • Have nothing, absolutely NOTHING, to do with evil and evil spirits, even to the point of watching anything spooky or fearful on TV!
  • Genuinely, believe 1 Jn. 4:4“You are of God, little children and have overcome them, because greater is He that is in you, than he who is in the world.” (Satan)
  • Be absolutely fearless. Be holy. I mean, clean your act up and stay away from evil and sin. The devil is not sacred of so called Christians who are sinning on a regular basis.
  • Be prepared for what happens in conflict with evil. Job suffered greatly. The devil will test you severely. He will attack in many ways.

Is it worth the fight with evil? Absolutely!

We are victorious through Christ!
