“What? You’ve Got to be Kidding Me!”

“What? You’ve Got to be Kidding Me!”

Have you heard the latest seducing lie straight from the pits of hell, being pushed on God’s people by so called “cutting edge Bible teachers” …er, wait a minute …I mean “forget the Bible teachers”?

It goes something like this, but it is a fluid theory so it changes from day to day. I would call this Satan’s seduction against God’s People. Here is the false teaching: “Why do we trust a Book they (the early church) didn’t have, more than the Spirit that they did have?” Another preacher said, “We’re not supposed to worship a Book. The voice of the Spirit is more than a Book. While we believe the Bible is totally true, the revelations we are receiving from the Holy Spirit are for these current troubled times we live in. We have a daily Word straight from the Holy Spirit.”

Examples: ”You may not like the way I dress, but the Holy Spirit said it is great!” “I’ve had experiences so awesome, directly from the Holy Spirit, that the Bible cannot explain them.” “I am not just forgiven for the sins I have committed; I am also forgiven in advance for the ones I will commit. Therefore, I never need to repent or confess my sin.”

This false teaching that we should tune out what the Bible says, in order to hear the Spirit of God, is flooding the Church today! To reject the Word of God, while seeking a Word from God, is like witchcraft.

Addiction to alcohol, drugs, pornography, and a host of other vices, will overtake believers when the natural protection of the Bible is removed. Psalm 119:11 says, “Your word I have hidden in my heart, that I might not sin against You.”

If you are not regularly reading God’s Word, you won’t know deception and confusion when it comes your way. Bank tellers are trained to handle currency and look at it so closely that they know the difference between a counterfeit $100 bill and a genuine $100 bill by the feel and a close look.

Remember: “All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness…” 2 Timothy 3:16.

Why am I condemning all of this? Because the Bible commands me to do so. “But we have renounced the hidden things of shame, not walking in craftiness nor handling the word of God deceitfully, but by manifestation of the truth, commending ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God.” 2 Corinthians 4:2

I want to encourage you to read and study the Word so closely that you will be aware of deception and confusion in the last days.

Turn the Light On, the Truth of God’s Word, in These Last Days,

Pastor Stan
