11 Apr “What Message Will I Preach Around the World?”
There is a simple answer to that question! Jesus lives! He is a busy God. He sits at the right hand of God, ever living to make intercession for you and me.
Many pieces of jewelry depict Jesus hanging on the Cross. I understand that, but I don’t believe we should memorialize an empty tomb. My Jesus is not dead; He is alive!
Does the fact that Jesus is alive really make a difference in the whole arena of our world? YES! In Africa, they will be raising their hands and displaying feet that dance, as they leap for joy. They may have sorrow over too much flooding, or a child that died, or the locusts that ravage all plant life, BUT Jesus is alive! If they face drought and have no food for their babies, and they are one meal away from dying, you will observe Africans that have Jesus as their personal Savior with a great understanding. “If I die tomorrow, I don’t lose. I win! I will never go hungry again!”
Does this resurrection message work in Poland … a land devastated by World Wars … a land dominated by religiosity? Poland, a land that has endured so much. If you were a Pole with Jewish roots, and you were killed/martyred, there was always hope. In one instance, you breathed your last breath on earth; the next instant, you found yourself in the presence of Jesus, thinking, “Oh my! Jesus has given me life eternal.”
Or, perhaps you are from England traveling the ‘tube” (the underground subway). All around, you see the hajis or the turbans of many who serve another god, or multiple gods. You wonder, “How can so many religions serve a dead, inanimate god?” Then you walk into a Bible believing church, where Jesus is worshipped, and you see the vibrant worship of people praising Jesus with song. You hear the words declared, “I have come that you might have LIFE, and have it more abundantly.”
As we are preaching somewhere else in the world, we know that back home in Salida, Colorado, Rev. Larry & Marilyn Davis will bring anointed worship and a powerful testimony that Jesus is indeed alive!
We love you all and we will return shortly!
Love and Prayers,
Pastor Stan & Gevena
