“Thank You!”

“Thank You!”

Gevena and I wish to say, ”Thank You!” to one and all for the remembrances, well wishes, congratulations, prayers, cards, and gifts for our 50th wedding anniversary. We recognize that many couples would have achieved a 50th wedding anniversary, if their health had allowed them to do so, but death robbed them of that milestone. Truly we are blessed beyond measure as we celebrate this time together.

“Age Wrinkles the Body — Quitting Wrinkles the Soul.”

General Douglas MacArthur

I love this quote. Yes, I know it is not a Biblical verse, but it certainly does have Biblical overtones. There are headings in the Bible concerning this subject: Steadfastness and Perseverance, to name a couple.

As all this virus crud sticks to our spirits, many have become discouraged and disorientated. Dr. Dobson from Focus on the Family has addressed this issue at length. Incidentally, I think Focus on the Family, Dr. Dobson, and the personnel that staff that ministry are absolutely wonderful.

1 Corinthians 15:58 CEV says: “My dear friends, stand firm and don’t be shaken. Always keep busy working for the Lord. You know that everything you do for Him is worthwhile.”

James 5:7-8 CEV: “My friends, be patient until the Lord returns. Think of farmers who wait patiently for the autumn and the spring rains to make their valuable crops grow. Be patient like those farmers and don’t give up. The Lord will be here soon.”

We cannot help wrinkles on the skin. No matter how much goop you put on your skin: NEWSFLASH! You are still going to have wrinkles. I pray you have a stedfast spirit that doesn’t quit, cave, or give up and “… wrinkle the soul!”

Cheers and Great Joy! Jesus is Coming Soon!
