50 lbs in 61 Days Diet Plan … Lose Fat Without Much Effort

That sounds amazing! We should start that diet, right? I didn’t even read about what the diet might consist of. I can only imagine! It brings to mind that we allow endless “Drive!” into our minds and spirits without any filters.

One of the verses I pray is Psalm 19:14 — “Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, O Lord, my strength and my Redeemer.”

Each day I am challenged concerning what will enter my heart. One way I combat allowing negative stuff, or even decent stuff, from over crowding my spirit is to put “First things first.” My daily routine is get up, do basic grooming, grab a cup of coffee, and read 8-15 chapters in the Bible to get my day started right. Then I may skim news headlines, but I try to be extremely careful as to how much time I spend in that pool of misinformation … meaning news that isn’t true.

What other kinds of stuff can I meditate on that can clog the meditations of my heart?

  • Gossip is an example. “A person who habitually reveals personal or sensational facts about others,” OR “A rumor or report of an intimate nature.”

Proverbs 10:18Whoever conceals hatred with lying lips and spreads slander is a fool.”

Proverbs 11:9“With their mouths the godless destroy their neighbors, but through knowledge the righteous escape.”

What positive things can I fill my spirit with that is acceptable in God’s sight?

  • Praise to our God: “His mercy endures forever.” Through His Word and good worship and praise music.
  • Choosing great friends who build us up in our relationship with Christ. We become like the people we choose to be around.

How about the “words of my mouth?” That doesn’t just refer to cussing, slander or gossip, but refers to negative talk. Example: “We are all going to die … there is no hope.”

Therefore, I pray for a Divine Filter, that keeps what enters my thoughts and what comes out of my mouth as good and from God.
